Already in 1965, some members from the francophile club “Le Léman” in Zurich formed a group who regularly plaid Pétanque and soon they joined the “Fédération Suisse de Pétanque”. In the same year, Jo Ferraud from Zurich, together with two players from Geneva, sensationally won the world championship and even defended the title in 1966.
